Nashik (Maharashtra), Aug 19 (ANI): A hospital in Maharashtra's Nashik took a unique initiative for newborn babies. Bedsheets at Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) are colour-coded according to the days of the week. The step has been taken to ensure that they have been washed and sterilised by autoclave. There are separate mops and buckets for each cubicle as well. One of the doctors of the hospital said, "We use dark green bed-sheets on Monday, dark blue on Tuesday, pink on Wednesday, maroon on Thursday, saffron on Friday, light-green on Saturday and light-blue on Sunday. We don't repeat bed-sheets for infants for even a day."
New Delhi, Aug 19 (ANI): The water level of Yamuna River on Monday morning was flowing at 204.70 meters, higher than the warning mark at 204.50 meters, after the release of huge amount of water from Hathni Kund barrage in Haryana. The "danger mark" is 205.33 meters. The Delhi government has issued order from the evacuation of people from low-lying areas and civil volunteers have been deployed for rescue operations. While speaking to ANI, a Civil Defence Officer said, "We have deployed forces. Our department is ready for rescue operations. We got to know that water has been released from Hathni Kund barrage. We will ensure that people shift to safer places."
Bengaluru, Aug 19 (ANI): A chilling video of a car driving over a crowd of people walking on a pavement in Bengaluru has surfaced showing a drunk driver running over at least 7 pedestrians. The incident took place on a footpath in HSR Layout locality of Bengaluru. Seven people have been injured in the crash while police have taken the errant driver in custody.
Hyderabad, Aug 19 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) working president JP Nadda held a door-to-door campaign, as a part of the party's membership drive in Hyderabad on August 19. He went door to door and met locals. Earlier, large number of leaders, including ex-MLAs from Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Congress joined the BJP. JP Nadda also welcomed leaders from other parties to strengthen the BJP in Telangana.
Agra (UP), Aug 19 (ANI): Indian cricketer Poonam Yadav brought laurels to her hometown Agra as she was nominated for the prestigious Arjuna Award. There were celebrations at her house in Idgah railway colony after Poonam and 18 other sportspersons were selected for the honour. Daughter of retired army personnel Raghuveer Singh and homemaker Munni Devi, Poonam is employed as office superintendent at Agra division of North Central Railways. She will receive Arjuna Award on the occasion of Sports Day on August 29. Poonam has played 41 one-day international matches and 54 T-20 matches for the Indian women's cricket team. She has claimed 63 wickets in ODIs at an average of 21.09 runs and 74 wickets in T-20s at an average of 14.77 runs. She began her international career in April 2013 playing against Bangladesh in Ahmedabad. Poonam proved her utility as a right arm leg spinner and was part of the world cup final team that lost to England in 2017.
Agartala (Tripura), Aug 19 (ANI): Indian Army and Assam Rifles (AR), the oldest paramilitary force, jointly organised an arms display rally, 'Know Your Army' in Tripura's Agartala. The main motive behind the rally was to motivate the youth to join the defence forces. Large number of people flocked to witness the display rally. With elimination of the militant groups of Tripura to a large extent, the situation has totally changed and the youths in large number are participating for recruitment into the security forces.
Agartala (Tripura), Aug 19 (ANI): A one-day state-level training program for dental surgeons was organized in Tripura's Agartala. The training was organized by the National Oral Health Program under the National Health Mission. More than 50 dentists across the state took part in the training program. State's Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb was the chief guest of the program.
Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir), Aug 19 (ANI): Schools re-opened in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri on August 19. The decision was taken to not let children suffer. Over 190 schools were closed in the wake of abrogation of Article 370 in parts of Kashmir. Central government scrapped off Article 370 on August 05 that took away the special status of Jammu and Kashmir as a state.

The accident took place near Nimgul village in Maharashtra's Dhule. Locals were the first to reach the spot and pulled some of the passengers off the bus. Authorities soon reached the site of the accident and took the injured to a nearby hospital. An investigation has been launched. Further details are awaited.
Shamli (UP), Aug 19 (ANI): Even as the government is leaving no stone unturned in fighting the menace of Triple Talaq, instances in the connection seem to rise. Women in Uttar Pradesh continue to suffer as several cases pertaining to instant divorce have been reported from the state. A women in Kandhla area in UP's Shamli district has alleged that her husband gave her Triple Talaq over the phone earlier this month. While speaking to media, the victim said, "My husband gave me triple talaq over the phone. I have his call recording to prove this. I want justice. He should be punished for the crime."

Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand), Aug 19 (ANI): Uttarakhand have been witnessing heavy rainfall in the past couple of days causing rivers to flow near or above the danger levels. Meanwhile, on Sunday, a cloudburst took place in Uttarkashi's Mori Tehsil region due to which the Tons river, which passes through the state, is overflowing creating trouble for locals. Due to the cloudburst, several people have been stranded at various places in the area. The government has dispatched teams of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to carry out rescue and evacuation operations. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted widespread rainfall over the next three days in Uttarkashi.
Patna (Bihar), Aug 19 (ANI): Independent MLA Anant Singh, who is facing heat after recovery of prohibited weapons from his residence has denied being afraid of arrest stating that he would be surrendering in next few days. While speaking to mediaperson, he said, "I'm not scared of being arrested. I'll surrender in next 3-4 days. I haven't been to that house in last 14 yrs so there's no question of keeping AK-47 there." Earlier, the police officials had raided Singh's premises in connection with a contract killing case. During the raid, the police recovered an AK-47 rifle and a hand grenade from his residence in Ladma village.
Surajpur (Chhattisgarh), Aug 19 (ANI): A couple in Chhattisgarh's Pratappur village alleged that their child died during delivery due to the negligence of a hospital nurse.The woman, Lakshmi, said that her husband was taking her to a local hospital here when the ambulance driver suggested them to get their child delivered at Nurse Shivkumari Jaiswal's residence. "During the delivery, the hand of the child came out. The nurse tried to push the hand inside. Later, when we reached another hospital, the child was born dead," said Lakshmi. However, Shivkumari Jaiswal has denied any involvement in Lakshmi's delivery and said that she was not working on the day the incident took place.
Jammu (JandK), Aug 19 (ANI): Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Sunday said that after the revocation of special status from Jammu and Kashmir let us free Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and merge it with India. While addressing the meeting, he said, "As the parliament has unanimously agreed, let us free Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and merge it with India. Let us pray to the almighty that we get the chance to see this in our lifetime."

I demand that Sonia should clear Congress' viewpoint in the matter of Article 370. I don't expect Rahul Gandhi to speak on the matter Article370 because he has become Ranchoddas Gandhi. As president of the party, it was his job to strengthen the party after loss. But he didn't do so."
Leh (Ladakh), Aug 19 (ANI): The mysterious Magnetic Hill in Ladakh - the phenomenon that defines gravity - is one of the centres of attraction in the region. At this place, also known as Gravity Hill, cars move with a speed of 20-30 km even on neutral gear. It is believed that some magnetic forces makes this happen. This might be termed as a result of gravitational force. Whatever it may be, it excites tourists to great extent. While speaking to ANI, a tourist from Canada said, "Some gravitational force is active which drives or pull the vehicles, but it's a cool place." Tourists believe that this Magnetic Hill adds to the beauty of Leh and Ladakh.
New Delhi, Aug 19 (ANI): YouTube has announced that its original series, movies, and events all part of the YouTube Originals section will be free to watch starting September 24 this year. On the official support page, YouTube said that some original content will be available for viewing without a YouTube Premium subscription, albeit supported with ads and only select episodes may be available for streaming at any time. YouTube Premium members will still continue to enjoy perks including ad-free viewing, access to all available episodes in a series when they premiere, offline viewing support, and access to bonus content.
