Baloch, Sindh, other minorities from Pakistan claim CPEC project will suppress, loot them

Brussels (Belgium), Oct 25 (ANI): In a conference titled "Why Balochistan Matters: The impact of China Pakistan agreements on the future of the region" which was held at International Press Club saw activists from Balochistan, Sindh and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) raising their voice against the multi-billion dollar China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which will have its serious implications on the region. The speakers also raised the issue of human rights violations in Balochistan where enforced disappearances and killings of political activists and locals are rampant. Baloch claims that Pakistan is involved in genocide of the Baloch people in the wake of exploiting resources including gas, gold and other minerals.

51 killed after terrorists attack Quetta police training academy

Quetta (Pakistan), Oct 25 (ANI): Three militants attacked a Police Training Centre in Quetta, Pakistan late on Monday night killing 51 people and leaving several others injured. In a joint operation of Pakistan army and Balochistan's frontier corps the three terrorist were neutralized to control the situation. The injured were rushed to the hospital for medical assistance.

Protests in Kotli ( PoK ) against Pakistan's illegal occupation

Kotli (PoK), Oct 25 (ANI): A group of Kashmiris gathered as flash mobs in Pakistan occupied Kashmir's (PoK) Kotli region on October 22 to protest against Pakistan's illegal occupation of the area and demanded that the forces be withdraw to free Kashmir. Giving details, a demonstrator said that they are protesting against the atrocities of the Pakistani government and will continue to protest till the forces are not withdrawn from the region. Later in the evening, candle light protests were held all across PoK remembering October 22 in 1947 when Pakistani forces entered Kashmir.

The nine-day mega prayer-cum-rituals, is aimed at strengthening the political relations between India and Japan. The rituals will be performed in three different stages namely 'Sudarshan Mahayagya', 'Satchandi' and 'Rudra Maha Yagya'.

PoK residents observe black day against Pakistan Army's atrocities: Shaukat Ali Kashmiri

Brussels, Oct 22 (ANI): As people across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) observed October 22 as 'Black Day', United Kashmir People's National Party (UKPNP) Chairman Shaukat Ali Kashmiri on Saturday said the day signifies that the Kashmiri people can die for the protection of their homeland. The exiled Kashmiri leader remembered the sacrifices made by former Kashmiri leaders battling against atrocities by the Pakistani Army. On October 22 in 1947, the Pakistani Army disguised as tribal invaders and attacked the undivided state of Jammu and Kashmir. A number of innocent people were killed by them.

'Black Day' being observed in PoK to mark Kashmir's invasion by Pakistan in 1947

Muzaffarabad / Brussels, Oct 22 (ANI): People in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) are observing October 22 as a 'Black Day' as it was on this day in 1947 that Pakistani Army disguised as tribal invaders and attacked the princely undivided State of Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmiris across PoK are observing the day by demanding the immediate withdrawal of Pakistani forces from their territory. Rallies will also be held in Rawalakot, Bagh, Hijara and Muzaffarabad cities and it is expected that thousands of protesters will chant anti-Pakistan slogans. In London, exiled Kashmiris will demonstrate outside the Pakistan High Commission.

Watch: Indian priests perform 9-day yagna for Tokyo's clean environment

Analyst stresses on Constitution amendment to solve prolonged crisis in Nepal

Kathmandu, Oct 20 (ANI): Analyst Surendra Kumar Jha believes that Constitution amendment would solve the prolonged crisis in Kathmandu on Wednesday. In an interview to ANI, Central Committee Member of Terai Madhesh Democratic Party (TMDP) Surendra Kumar Jha stressed on constitution amendment to solve the ongoing crisis in Nepal. Jha said in the last 10 years, Madhesi, Tharu, Janajati (indigenous), Dalit all these different indigenous people have been fighting for their political rights and the new constitution should incorporate all those things by making an amendment. He added that the new government formed has been made to bring about a solution to the problem.

Nepali Congress leader bats for two Madhesi states

Kathmandu, Oct 18 (ANI): Asserting that the newly promulgated constitution of Nepal guarantees equal and fair rights to people hailing from the Madhesi community, Nepali Congress leader and member of the Constitution Suggestion Committee Raghu Nath Paudel batted for providing two states to the community. Paudel added that Himali, Pahadi and Madhesi all have got equal rights. Upon being asked about the naturalized citizenship , he said that the people enjoy naturalized citizenship and such people should not take higher positions in the state. Nepal's constitution was promulgated on September 20 last year.
