More violence in Egypt feared to follow Morsi's death sentence: Analysts

Cairo, May 18 (ANI): Analysts believe there could be more violence in Egypt after a Cairo court sentenced former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi to death. The deposed president was sentenced to death on charges of breaking out of prison, which in Egypt doesn't usually lead to the death penalty. Only hours after the verdict, three prosecutors in North Sinai were shot to death by Morsi's furious supporters, and three court houses were attacked across the country, one of them torched. The president of the judicial club, Justice Ahmed Al Zend, stressed that nothing will stop them from proceeding with fair trials against the Muslim Brotherhood, even Saturday's assassinations. The government didn't comment on the verdict. The Judge's final decision in Morsi's death recommendation will be announced on June 2, by then he would have received his verdicts in three court cases.
