Beijing, May 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday visited the Tsinghua University. While addressing the Chinese students at the university, Modi stated that the future of India and China are deeply interconnected and both the countries stand on the verge of vast dynamic change in world. He also added that the future of both the nations would be brighter and journey smoother if they work together, confident of each other.

He said that this is India's year in China, next year will be China's year in India. The Prime Minister added that their decision to open consulates in Chengdu and Chennai reflects the growing mutual confidence and shared commitment to expand their bilateral ties. He also announced that Indian pilgrims visiting Kailash Mansarovar in the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China will be able to use the Nathu La pass in Sikkim starting June this year.

Beijing, May 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang on Friday signed a series of agreements on varied subjects at the Great Hall of People in Beijing city of China. The two prime ministers entered the room and shared a light moment before the agreement signing began. The view of the dignitaries from both sides exchanging agreement files and the both the country's national flag at the background gave a very positive outlook and brought in an optimism of better relations between the friend turned foe turned friend nations. Islamabad, May 15 (ANI): Pakistan's Foreign Ministry spokesman Khalilullah Qazi said Islamabad has asked Kabul not to allow India's top intelligence agency RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) to operate against Pakistan from Afghan territory. In reply to a question during a weekly briefing in Islamabad, Qazi said that in their recent visit to Afghanistan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and army chief General Raheel Sharif asked Afghan authorities to prevent the RAW from creating unrest in Pakistan. Earlier, Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry told reporters after a function that RAW was involved in creating unrest in Pakistan, and that had been proved by the fact that two killers arrested in Karachi recently have received training from the Indian spy agency. On May 5, Pakistan's military accused RAW of whipping up terrorism in Pakistan in rare public criticism that could increase tension between the two nuclear-armed rivals.
Beijing, May 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday arrived at China's capital city Beijing. PM Modi landed at the Beijing international airport and was received by Chinese dignitaries there. He received a flower bouquet by a teen Chinese girl who he greeted very affectionately. Modi later headed for Raffles Beijing hotel where he will stay for a day before heading on to Shanghai on Saturday. The prime minister will receive a formal welcome by his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang on Friday. The two will then hold talks and are expected to sign several agreements.
Xi'an, May 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday visited the South City Wall in Xi'an, which is the oldest and the largest surviving wall of its kind in China. The prime minister was also given a traditional Tang dynasty welcome at the historic site. PM Modi waved at the crowd while the spectacular performers awed the leaders with their scintillating performances. After the performance, the prime minister was the first to applaud the same as he clapped with happiness. Modi visited the wall, which at its base is 50 or 60 feet wide and at the top is about 40 feet wide, after holding wide-ranging talks with President Jinping and visiting the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. Later, Modi and Jinping headed for the dinner banquet hoisted by the latter in honour of the Indian PM. Following the same, he attended a cultural performance at Pot City courtyard in Xian.

He said that this will bring positive change in infrastructure and technology among other things. The two leaders arrived at the courtyard to a colourful cultural performance by Chinese nationals in welcome of the Indian prime minister. Many performers in colourful traditional attires made the atmosphere really picturesque. Xian, the PM's first stop on his three-day tour of China, is the hometown of President Xi Jinping and his hosting PM Modi there is a reciprocal gesture after his visit to Modi's home state Gujarat last year.
