Free Balochistan Movement holds worldwide protests to mark International Human Rights Day

London (United Kingdom)/ Braunschweig (Germany), Dec 11 (ANI): The Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) held several simultaneous protests and awareness campaigns in London, Germany, Netherlands, United States of America, Canada and Austria on December 10 to mark the 'International Human Rights Day'. The FBM activists distributed several thousand leaflets during their three-day campaign in Germany's Braunschweig city, explaining that Baloch people are facing torture, abductions, mass executions, military operations, demographic changes and other human rights abuses and violations, including mutilated dead bodies. 'Yellow Vest' protests turn violent in France

New Delhi, Dec 09 (ANI): The 'Yellow Vest' protests continuing since last four weeks turned violent in parts of France. Thousands of protestors marched down the streets of Paris for demonstration. Clashes erupted between protestors and police officials. Over 80,000 riot control police have been deployed to disperse the crowd. More than 500 people have been arrested and over 30 got injured in the clashes. A massive number of people from France's working class are protesting against country's push towards less polluting vehicles and green vehicles.

Mexico's Vanessa Ponce de Leon crowned Miss World 2018

New Delhi, Dec 09 (ANI): Vanessa Ponce de Leon from Mexico won the Miss World 2018 title on December 8. She was crowned none other than Miss World 2017 pageant Manushi Chhillar from India. The top 5 finalists were from Mexico, Belarus, Thailand, Jamaica and Uganda. Madhesis await fulfilment of promises

Birgunj (Nepal), Dec 07 (ANI): Nothing substantial has been achieved by Madhesis through their protest so and thus they are again trying to grab the administration though another protest in Nepal's Birgunj town. Madhesis leaders, reiterating their demands for a better representation through a constitution amendment, said they were ready to join the government provided their demands were met. The K.P. Nepal confirms Adityanath's visit for "Bibaha Panchami"

Kathmandu (Nepal), Dec 06 (ANI): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal has confirmed the visit of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit to Janakpur for the celebrations of "Bibaha Panchami" on 12th Dec of this month. Though the Nepal Government had invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the Bibaha Panchami, the Indian PM would be giving the ceremony a miss due to his schedule. Ram Babu Dhakal, Deputy Spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal confirmed about the arrival of UP CM Adityanath's visit to Janakpur for the "Bibaha Panchami". With about a week left for the Bibaha Panchami which is celebrated with fervor for a week with various event falling on each day the preparations are underway. The Sixth day which starts from tomorrow marks the marriage of Lord Ram and Sita for which Barat from Ayodhya would arrive at Janakpur.

Tokyo Metro recycles waste water

Tokyo (Japan), Dec 06 (ANI): The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau is making sincere efforts to recycle waste water and keep the city clean. Shibaura Water Reclamation Center is the third oldest Water Reclamation Center in Tokyo. A part of the treated water is cleaned through sand filtration and then used inside the Center for cleaning facilities, cooling machines and flushing toilets. The generated sludge is pumped through pressure pipelines to the Nanbu Sludge Plant for treatment. With the use of microorganism the dirt sinks to the bottom and water is gradually clean up. In a Secondary Sedimentation Tank, activated sludge masses formed in the reaction tank are precipitated for 3 to 4 hours, resulting in the separation of a supernatant (treated water) and sludge. The water, which was originally sewage, is processed and thus becomes clean. Leaders gather to bid their last farewell to George HW Bush

New Delhi, Dec 06 (ANI): World leaders and scores of mourners gathered in Washington to bid goodbye to the late 41st President of the United States George HW Bush at the state funeral on December 05. Chinese Cell Phones dominate Nepali market, woos India

Kathmandu (Nepal), Dec 04 (ANI): Nepal, the Himalayan Nation has a population of 26 Million as per the 2011 census but the number of mobile users in this landlocked nation stands at 38.3 million as per government records. The Nepal Telecommunications Authority in its latest count till mid- July of 2018 has recorded 36.2 million GSM users and 2.6 million CDMA users which witnessed an outbound surge from 4.2 million from that of 2008.With the tremendous increase in the number of mobile phone usage, the Himalayan Nation has been importing a large number of mobile phones from abroad especially from China which now has dominated the Nepali market. As per the record, a total of 5,413,920 Chinese sets were imported while 510,796 Vietnamese mobiles were imported. Last year the number of Indian mobile sets stood at 295,850. London (United Kingdom), Dec 04 (ANI): The Baloch Republican Party (BRP) held a protest at 10 Downing Street in London against the issue of enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Trump to attend Bush's funeral, won't deliver eulogy

New Delhi, Dec 04 (ANI): United States President Donald Trump will be in attendance at former President George HW Bush's funeral service on Wednesday (local time), although he will not deliver an eulogy. Janakpur-Jaynagar Railway link project inauguration postpones

Janakpur (Nepal), Dec 03 (ANI): The most awaited transnational railway linking India and Nepal, the Janakpur-Jaynagar Railway encountered an unexpected hit and has been postponed for next year. Nepal's Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth, also confirmed that Uttar Pradesh state's Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath would not be inaugurating the railway line upgraded with Indian Aid. The freight has gone out of track from 2014 but it is making an attempt to revive from next year with the help of its Southern neighbour's funding. The Nayak Infrastructure of Assam is awarded the contract to lay down the 24 Kilometer track between Irarwa in India to Kaipleshwor of Janakpur in Nepal. Likewise, the Raman Construction of Janakpur is constructing the 25 Kilometer segment between Kapileshwor and Bijalpur of Mahottari.

Sindhi activists hold protest against construction of dams

Sindh (Pakistan), Dec 03 (ANI): Sindh National Voice (SNV) activists took out a cultural protest rally in Nawabshah in the Sindh province. The group condemned the construction of dams across the Indus River and demanded the release of all the enforcedly disappeared Sindhi political activists.
