Bagh (PoK)/Brussels (Belgium), Nov 18 (ANI): Activists from various parts of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) gathered in Bagh district and carried out a protest rally to demand an end of Pakistan's illegal and forceful occupation of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. They have been participating in a two-day long convention of United Kashmir People's National Party (UKPNP). The activists raised concerns over construction of dams and other projects which are aimed to exclude the indigenous people from the local development. Jamil said in an exclusive interview to ANI, "The activists demanded Pakistan to release all those activists languishing in the prisons, including Baba Jan, because their peaceful political demands of the local development and the empowerment of the local people in Gilgit and Muzaffarabad". New Delhi, Nov 18 (ANI): Queen Elizabeth has offered sympathies to all those affected by deadly wildfires that have engulfed Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle's home state of California. The queen, in a statement issued on Friday, offered condolences to all those affected by the fire. "Prince Philip and I offer our deepest sympathies to the people of California, who continue to suffer from the devastating fires across the state," the statement read. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the victims, and to all those who have lost their homes and livelihoods," the statement continued. According to People, in the release, the queen also paid tribute to the courage and dedication of the US emergency services and the volunteers that have provided support to those affected during the hazard. Over 63 people have died, while more than 600 people are missing in the state. A total of 5,596 personnel have been deployed to tackle the situation on the ground.
Barabanki (Uttar Pradesh), Nov 17 (ANI): Farmers held a protest march starting from Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki to Lucknow on Saturday. The protest is against the issue of delay in the payments after paddy procurement. Farmers gathered their produce on tractors and came out on roads to demand right prices. They claimed to have almost 300 tractors out on the roads as a form of protest. They gave an hour to the authorities to respond to the farmers or else they would proceed to Lucknow.
