RSP employee shot at

Plant (RSP) was critically injured after being shot at by unidentified attackers who apparently made a snatching bid here, police said today.

Subodh Xaxa (50), a resident of Luakera village, was on his way to duty at the steel plant on his motor cycle last night when he was stopped at a deserted place near Rourkela aerodrome by two youths, they said.

Unsuspecting Xaxa stopped to listen to them but when the duo tried to snatch his bike he resisted.

S S Sethy, SDPO Rourkela said one of the two youths drew out a gun and opened fire on him and both decamped with the bike and the purse as soon as Xaxa fell down.
