Sisters drown in pond in Raj village

A minor girl today drowned while trying in vain to rescue her younger sister who had slipped and fallen into a pond at Revana village in Rajasthan's Alwar district.

The bodies of Preeti Bawaria (12) and Manisha (9) were fished out by villagers.

They were handed over to their family members after a post-mortem examination, SHO Neemrana police station, Hitesh Sharma said.
