Mumbai Terror: Ratan Tata condemns terror attack
BS Reporter / Kolkata Nov 27, 2008, 15:45 IST

Ratan N TataRatan N Tata, chairman of Tata Sons and chairman of Indian Hotels Co, which owns the Taj hotel in Mumbai, which terrorists damaged badly, made the following statement on Thursday afternoon.

"The terrible wanton attacks last night on innocent people and the destruction of prominent landmarks in India deserve to be universally condemned. My sympathies and condolences go out to all those who have suffered, been injured, and those who have lost their loved ones in this terrible act of hatred and destruction," said Tata.

"We cannot replace the lives that have been lost and we will never forget the terrifying events of last night, but we must stand together, shoulder to shoulder as citizens of India, and rebuild what has been destroyed. We must show that we cannot be disabled or destroyed, but that such heinous act will only make us stronger. It is important that we do not allow divisive forces to weaken us. We need to overcome these forces as one strong unified nation," he added.

Of course we should all condemn the Mumbai terror attack. However we have to do more than that need to find out the main culprits behind this terror attack along with the concrete undeniable evidence of their involvement so to arrest and convict them. Its a shame on our politicians. Mr. Advani being a senior leader has already started blaming the govt instead of giving support to them. Please stop taking advantage of situation and inturn make people comfortable and secure from the situation. Shame on ourselves for electing such people.

Stop all this , just let the citizens of India stay in peace who ever is doing this , forget the politicians its high time common man should understand all Politico-terror games and just unite to show we are one for all .

No language is enough to condemn the Terrorist Attacks in Mumbai. It has exposed the total failure of our Govt and Intelligence Machineries to provide safety & security to people. Having stayed in top Star Hotels during the last few months,I must say that there was practically no Security Measures at the Hotel Trident and Taj Hotel. These Hotels shd learn Security System as being practised in JW Marriot Hotel,Mumbai, where even Brief Case and Laptop bags are also frisked.

Hi all, This is too much now. People are loosing faith in government. In my view the current government should be changed. (the person like Modi or Raj will be enough for these terrorists). Government should not keep the terrorists in jail, being cought during the operation. Let the people decide what they want to do with them (in my view, only tit-for-tat will work for those bastard terrorists).
