US Tech celebrates Women's Day

The women employees of Kerala's technology major US Technology Resources today congregated under the umbrella of the Network of Women USsociates (NowU) on the occasion of International Women's Day.

NowU represents the women employees of US Technology Resources. The day was celebrated across its India centres, a source at US Tech said.

More than 700 women professionals took part in the event. The ceremony began with a formal lighting of the lamp at the Bhavani Atrium in Technopark here, where women associates, all dressed in shades of blue, congregated for a day of celebration and fanfare.

This was followed by an afternoon of stalls and displays where the company's women staffers displayed artifacts created by them, which included paintings, jewellery and food items.

The formal function which got underway in the evening saw eminent women, leaders in their area of specialisation, addressing the gathering.
