10 more Future stores in Kolkata by June

Home Solutions Retail (India), the one year old brand of the Future Group, is on an expansion mode as it aims to set up its multiple formats in the next three years and aim for revenue of Rs 5,000 crore by 2009-10.

It recently launched eZone, its electronics specialty store, and Collection-i, a furniture and furnishings store, at the Homeland Mall of Kolkata.

Spread over 13,300 sq ft and 18,200 sq ft, these stores are the first independent outlets of eZone and Collection-i which have traditionally been present in shop-in-shop formats in other Pantaloons stores in Kankurgachi and Camac Street.

Speaking at the launch, Kush Medhora, operations head of Home Solutions Retail, informed that the company plans to set up 15 eZones by June 2007 from eight now, and six standalone collection-i from three at present.

Home Solutions formats also include Home Town, a store offering plumbing, tiling and electrician services to appliances and accessories of interior decoration, as well as Furniture Bazaar for standard furniture, Electronics Bazaar for electronics goods, eZone and Collection-i.

Home Town, on an average, require an investment of Rs 20 crore per store, and is expected to generate close to Rs 200 crore of revenues in its first year of operations.

Collection-i stores would offer premium products like quality furniture, modular kitchens, lighting, furnishings, crockery and home accents at affordable prices.

eZone would offer multiple consumer durable and electronics brands under one roof.

Home Solutions would set up 3 Home Town outlets, 15 eZones and 6 collection-i by June this year.

"We spend close to Rs 1500 to Rs 2,000 per sq ft for lifestyle stores, and Rs 1000 to Rs 1400 per sq ft for value stores," informed Sandeep Marwah, head "� east zone, Pantaloons Retail, Future Group's flagship enterprise.
