Aarvee Denims net up
 
Aarvee Denims and Exports has posted a 118 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 8.45 crore during the first quarter ended June 30, compared with Rs 3.87 crore for the same period last year.
 
The company's net sales grew to Rs 64.95 crore from Rs 50.47 crore during the quarter, registering an increase of 29 per cent. The company has declared a five per cent interim dividend.
 
Asian Paints net up 33%
 
Asian Paints (India) reported a 32.57 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 44.36 crore for the first quarter in current fiscal against Rs 33.46 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal.
 
Total income has increased 27.27 per cent to Rs 516.63 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 from Rs 405.91 crore in the year-ago period, the company informed the BSE.
 
Bank of Baroda net dips
 
Bank of Baroda reported a 46.43 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 156.94 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 compared with Rs 292.99 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.
 
Total income has decreased 2.13 per cent to Rs 1,882.01 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 from Rs 1,923 crore in the year-ago period, the company informed the BSE.
 
ASF Q1 net up 15 %
 
Chemical company BASF India has reported 14.94 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 11.69 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 10.17 crore for the corresponding period in previous fiscal.
 
Total income has increased 18.49 per cent to Rs 168.15 crore from Rs 141.91 crore posted in the year-ago period.
