Aerens plans Rs 1,000 cr investment

Aerens Gold Souk Group has outlined investment plans with a total outlay of Rs 1,000 crore for Kerala in the next five years, company's Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director Ashish Gupta told PTI here today.
Kerala's first gem and jewellery park at Kalamassery and the Gold Souk Grande Mall at Kochi were the mega projects of the company, Gupta said.
The work on the Park, awarded to the company by Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA), on 33 acres of land at Kalamassery in Kochi had started and first phase would be commissioned within two years, he said.
The park would house more than 1,000 jewellery manufacturers from Kerala as well as from other parts of the country and abroad, he said.
The park would facilitate standardisation and deployment of latest technology. It would also provide integrated facilities for commercial, recreational and institutional needs, he said.
The company is identifying strategic locations here, Thrissur, Kollam, Kottayam, Kannur, Kozhikode and Palakkad for retail, residential, commercial and infrastructure projects, he said.
