AirAsia temporarily reduces four flights between Trichy-Kuala Lumpur

Reducing flights due to 'operational issues' and will resume flights by mid-October

Low cost airline Air Asia has temporarily reduced four flights between Trichy and Kuala Lumpur due to operational issues. According to sources,the company has been operating 21 flights a week in this route. This has been brought down to 17 flights now.

The airline would have 17 flights in Trichy-Kuala Lumput route from June 16 to October 15, said company spokesperson. They added that the move is due to some "operational issues", thought did not divulge on the details.

Trichy-Kuala Lumpur is one of the busy route for the airlines with over 80 per cent load factor, said industry sources.
 

It has also gradually increased its number of flights from a comparitively lower number to the current 21 flights a week.Sources said that stopping some of the flights for operational reasons is normal in the operation of airlines and this would not have impact on the operations or revenue of the company.

According to reports, all the flights operated by the airlines in this route are 180-seater Airbus A320 aircraft.
