Basant Seth is SyndicateBank's new Chairman and MD

State-run Syndicate Bank today said Basant Seth has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director.      

Prior to joining Syndicate Bank, he was the Deputy Managing Director of SIDBI, the bank statement said today.      

Seth has also served as the general manager of Bank of India, where he held various positions at the field level, including overseas postings and in the administrative offices.     

He has long experience in corporate finance, accounting, corporate and taxation laws, accounting standards, audit functions, compliance, it said.     

Seth has expertise in the field of finance and has a rich experience in key areas of corporate governance and enterprise wide risk management, the statement said.
