British Airways (BA) expects a significant growth in business and leisure outbound travel from Hyderabad to the UK. As part of its expansion here, it plans to meet the growing demand by pitching in daily service from Hyderabad to London from October 27. Currently, it operates six flights a week from here.
“Hyderabad has emerged as one of the strongest growing markets in India in the last two years with a range of business activities and tourist inflows making it a really fantastic place to fly,” said Christopher Fordyce, regional commercial manager for South Asia, British Airways.
India is the second largest market for it after the US. “The outbound travel from India is expected to grow to 50 million by 2020 from the existing 15 million, second to China,” said Fordyce.
