Dishergarh Power to raise capacity

| Dishergarh Power Supply Company Ltd (DPSCL) has firmed up plans of expanding its generation capacity to 100 MW from 40 MW as of now. |
| The company is also planning to set up another 100 MW power plant in collaboration with the Salim group of Indonesia. |
| Meanwhile, it has offered a voluntary retirement scheme to its employees. The scheme is still open. |
| Descon Ltd, an IT solutions provider, and Ladies Counter, a Kolkata based boutique, on Wednesday launched a website. Descon has been promoted by DPSCL. |
| Speaking on the occasion, S Radhakrishnan, director and chief executive, Descon, said this was one of the various avenues being adopted by the company to diversify, |
| "We are trying to provide value addition to our existing area of operation and offer more and more services to our clients. We also develop websites and this is one of our thrust areas," he said. |
| Soumen Ray, director of Descon, and Nandita Parui, a designer, jointly developed a module wherein businesses could attend to export oriented queries as well as a local enquiries. |
| The website offers a suitable interactive opportunities to customers, which could choose off the shelf products or order a design from a designer. |
| Descon Ltd was promoted by Dishergarh Power Supply Company Ltd to provide consultancy and support services in the field of energy also provides need based specialized IT solutions to enhance business processes. The company has funding from World Bank as well as other agencies. |
