Bangalore-based Dynamatic Technologies has acquired a 12 mw wind farm at Coimbatore from Tamilnadu Petroproducts.
The company in a release to exchanges said that the wind farm will generate approximately 18 million units of power annually.
The value of the deal is not disclosed but the acquisition is expected to enable the company to achieve 85 per cent reduction in monthly energy costs at its Chennai complex and combat energy-price inflation in future.
"This is also a big step forward in converting the company into an 'Eco-friendly Green Enterprise', the release added.
