Our Regional Bureau New Delhi/ Dehra Dun
An IT Park is coming up on the area near Sahasradhar Road in Dehra Dun and is expected to be completed within a year's time with five companies having already given their consent to start operations from it.

The project will have a cyber tower which will be built on investment of about Rs 100 crore.

The five companies which have given their consent include ADI Publishing, Koen Solutions Pvt Ltd, Ramtech Softwares, Astra and Orange Tree. These firms will together bring investment worth Rs 25-30 crore in the project which has the capacity of absorbing more than 100 companies.

For building the cyber tower, the State Industrial Development Corporation of Uttaranchal Limited (Sidcul), has entered into a tie-up with Bangalore-based IDEB "" a construction conglomerate "" with an equity partnership of 49:51.

While the cyber tower will come up on the four-acre area, three acres have been reserved for the software-technology-parks-of-India (STPI) project.

"We will offer all modern facilities in this IT Park," said Sidcul Managing Director Alok Kumar.

Already, Sidcul is in the process of building three industrial estates "" Haridwar, Pant Nagar and Sitarganj.

These have attracted huge investments. Sidcul officials claim it has received investment proposals worth Rs 20,000 crore.
