Jindal arm to double production capacity

Artdinox, a brand of the lifestyle division of Jindal Stainless Ltd, will invest Rs 7.5 crore to double production capacity.

It manufactures a wide range of products: home décor, bar accessories, dining range, beverage range, bath and office accessories, apart from tube lights, vases, tea lights wire mesh tableware and accessories.

Currently, the company has a manufacturing facility at Rohad (NCR region) with a capacity to produce 40,000 units per year. It is expected that the expansion is likely to be completed by next month. Moreover, the company is planning to open 25 exclusive brand stores across India, including 10 in the northern regions like Jalandhar and Ludhiana, by March.

In order to tap the vibrant and potential north market, the company today launched its seventh exclusive brand store in Chandigarh, which is the company's biggest store in India.

Speaking to Business Standard, Business Head Sugato Bose said, "We are growing at 300 per cent every year. We have targeted Chandigarh, which constitutes a large market in Punjab for our product categories."

The company has brand stores in Mumbai, Delhi and the NCR, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore and Bangalore. It has a presence in around 300 multi-brand stores and select outlets across the country.

The company is also thinking of opening stores in Colombo and Dubai to tap the foreign market. Currently, export contributes 70 per cent of the turnover. It exports to 18 countries including Canada, the US, the UK, and Australia.

"We are hopeful of sustaining the present growth rate of 300 per cent in this financial year also and in the next three years; we are also hopeful of achieving a turnover of Rs 150 crore." The company is also contemplating organising art shows in the northern region.
