Infrastructure company Kalpataru Power Transmission today said it has secured new orders worth Rs 950 crore.

The company has won three contracts worth Rs 536 crore from Power Grid Corporation, a release said.

These are the 400 KV Krishnapatnam UMPP to Gooty Transmission Line, the 765 KV Jabalpur Pool to Bina Transmission Line and the 765 KV Gwalior-Jaipur Transmission line, totalling Rs 536-crore.

These projects have to be delivered in the next 21-27 months, it said.

In the railway EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) segment, the company has bagged four contracts worth Rs 325 crore under separate joint ventures.

These include the complete track renewal of 85 km from Bangladesh Railways for Kalukhali-Bhatiapura sector, construction of the second section of Kharagpur-Haldia line and two projects from Eastern Railways.

KTPL has also been awarded an order by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) in Chhattisgarh worth Rs 80 crore.

By including these orders, on a standalone basis the company's order-book is in excess of Rs 5,500 crore and on consolidated basis in excess of Rs 9,500 crore.

"Our current order-book gives us a very good visibility for the next few years. Moreover, we have a very robust order-book, as more than 75 per cent of our order-book is with price variation clauses," KTPL Executive Director Manish Mohnot said.

"We have ventured into railways EPC contracting using the expertise of KPTL on electrical works," he said.
