Kirloskar- Daihatsu enters into license agreement

Pune-based Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. (KOEL) has entered into a license agreement with Daihatsu Diesel company, Japan for manufacturing and supply of diesel engines of Daihatsu design in India. The engines manufactured by KOEL under this agreement, will be in the range of 440KW to 2560 KW and will cater to the requirement of propulsion and auxiliary power (DG Sets) for commercial ships.

Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. is the largest manufacturer of Diesel Engines in India with annual manufacturing volumes exceeding 225,000 engines. Daihatsu Diesel Mfg Co Ltd, Japan is manufacturer and global supplier of diesel engines for marine and power plant application from more than four decades.
