Leitz ramps up India operations

Leitz Tooling Systems India, the fully-owned subsidiary of Germany conglomerate Litz GmBH that manufactures high precision tools and tooling systems for metal, plastic and wood processing has inaugurated a manufacturing facility in Bangalore.

The company also announced the ramping up of its India operations by setting up its fourth facility in Kolkata by mid-2006.

Chairman of the board Leitz Holding GmbH who inaugurated the facility at Peenya in Bangalore said that the company was bullish on the growth of the Indian economy.

Leitz's India operation began in 1999 from Bangalore and in 2003 it opened its second service centre at Noida.
