German air-carrier Lufthansa will operate a Pune-Frankfurt non-stop flight from July 1. The six-days-a-week flight would be operated with Airbus A319, a press release stated.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>This is considered as a major development for the IT and automobile hub Pune, which has seen long lasting problems with air connectivity over last two years. The city currently has just one international flight operated by Air India to Dubai.
</p><p class='TableClas'>Indian Air Force (IAF)-governed Pune airport is under repair since September last year. The airport is expected to be fully operational from May 28 onwards. 
</p><p class='TableClas'>A number of international air companies have shown interest in operating Pune-bound flights as the city is set to host the Commonwealth Youth Games in October. </P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
