Sistema Shyam Teleservices, which operates under MTS brand in India, on Wednesday, said the company has entered into an agreement with Rapid MetroRail Gurgaon Limited to provide free Wi-Fi services across all trains running on the 5.1-kilometre corridor connecting Sikanderpur Metro station, Cyber City, DLF Phase 2, DLF Phase 3 and Ambience Mall.
The company said that about 30,000 daily commuters will have access to services.
"This one of its kind service will enable commuters to access fast and consistent data speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps on MTS' 3G plus network," MTS India CEO Dmitry Shukov said.
MTS is also looking at opportunities to provide similar services in other public places, including metros and educational institutes in other cities, he added.
