NS Raghavan to launch $35 mn early stage fund

Nadathur Holdings and Investments, an investment firm started by one of Infosys' co-founders N S Raghavan, is starting a $35 million seed-stage fund to help start-ups kickstart their ideas.
NS Raghavan, who was also the joint managing director of Infosys at one time, before opting out of the company, said the fund will be launched as early as next month which will seek to address a gap being faced by entrepreneurs.
"There has been a talk that early stage funding has come of age. But still it is pretty difficult for people to access these funds. There are only a few funds which cater to the start-ups. Our fund will fill that gap," Raghavan detailed.
Nadathur in the past has been investing in various start-ups through the debt route and with the move to set up a fund, the company seeks to formalise the institution.
Raghavan in his efforts to nurture entrepreunership has also funded a cell at IIM-B which is extensively involved in hand-holding the start-ups.
