Piramal firm qtr net loss at Rs 31.47 cr

Drug research firm Piramal Life Sciences has reported a net loss of Rs 31.47 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009.

The company had a net loss of Rs 26.31 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Net sales stood at Rs 2.55 crore for the quarter ended September, while the company did not provide sales figure for the same quarter in the previous fiscal in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

However, Piramal Life Sciences reported a net sales of Rs 2.29 crore for the previous year ended March 31, 2009.
