REC net profit soars 60% to Rs 494 cr

Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) posted 60.09 per cent rise in its net profit of Rs 494.36 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 308.79 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.

Total Income has increased from Rs 1173.58 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 to Rs 1622.95 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009.
