Scorpio Dec sales zoom 65%

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) today reported a 30% rise in auto sales in December at 11,304 units as against 8,690 units sold in December 2003.

Sales of Scorpio zoomed 65% to 2,531 units from 1,537 units sold in December 2003.

The company reported a 36.55% rise in farm equipment sector (FES) sales during December 2004 at 4,374 units as against 3,203 units sold in December 2003.

"Domestic FES sales during the reporting month moved up to 3,820 units as against 2,729 units sold in December 2003," an official release said today.

Exports in December 2004 were up at 554 units as against 474 units in the same month last year, the release added.
