Shivratna Group has ambitious plans to open five more beach resorts in Konkan and Goa by 2013 with an investment of more than Rs 70 crore. The 5-star business hotel in Kolhapur will be a 80-100 room property on which work will begin post monsoon this year.
The restaurant chain coming from Shivratna Group’s stable will be introduced initially in Pune with two outlets serving continental cuisine and this chain will slowly expand to whole of Maharashtra and then later nationally.
The Ratnasagar Beach Resort opened in December 2009 with a current occupancy of 60 per cent. “We target to take it to 90 per cent by next financial year,” added Goutam.
