Sierra in India

Sierra Design Automation, Inc., a provider of high-performance IC implementation solutions, has announced setting up of its own subsidiary in India and establishing of local offices to support the growing adoption of its products.

Sierra Design Automation Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sierra Design Automation, will be based out of Bangalore and will be headed by Raja Subramaniam.

Before joining Sierra Design Automation as the general manager, Subramaniam was with Synopsys for nine years and most recently, he was handling the company's sales in South Asia and India.

"Sierra is committing resources to provide the next generation of advanced EDA solutions and real-time support to the growing design and development teams in India," said Pravin Madhani, president and CEO, Sierra Design Automation. "I am also excited to have Raja on board," Madhani said.
