Sify net loss widens to Rs 27.6 crore

Nasdaq-listed Sify Technologies reported a net loss of $5.65 million (around Rs 27.6 crore) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2008, from a net loss of $1.01 million (Rs 5 crore) in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue for the quarter was up 9 per cent from $31.68 million in the corresponding quarter last year to $34.40 million (Rs 169 crore). The company also saw a net operating loss at $4.13 million in the quarter compared to a net operating profit of $0.49 million in the same quarter last year.
