Sonata Software net down to Rs 2.8 crore

Sonata Software net profit for the third quarter dipped to Rs 2.8 crore from Rs 4.3 crore in the corresponding previous quarter. The company's revenues dipped to Rs 16.7 crore for Q3 from the earlier Rs 22.3 crore.

Commenting on the results, Sonata president and MD B Ramaswamy said: "With offshore becoming a strategic thrust to increasing number of companies, Sonata is focussing on the customer segment. It is looking for reliable partners who bring in innovation, speed of response and flexibility and at the same time are stable and have proven track record. This has resulted in a significant customer acquisitions as well as a strong pipeline."
