SpiceJet launches 2 new flights from A'bad

BS Reporter Mumbai/ Ahmedabad
SpiceJet has launched two new direct flights from Ahmedabad to Goa and Chennai.

Announcing this here, Siddhanta Sharma, CEO, SpiceJet said, "We commenced our operations from the city of Ahmedabad in May 2005 and the overwhelming success of our flights from the city has encouraged us to start two new destinations."

SpiceJet has recently added two new generations Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its existing fleet of six aircraft, said Sharma.

Talking about aviation turbine fuel cost, Sharma said high amount of volatility in ATF prices had made it difficult to pass it on to the consumers but they were still trying to strike a balance between the two.

The company is offering Ahmedabad-Goa-Ahmedabad and Ahmedabad-Chennai-Ahmedabad at Rs 2,499 and Rs 1,499 respectively under its Red Hot Special fares scheme.
