Tata Infotech Edu To Spread Wings

Tata Infotech Education, the education services division of Tata Infotech, will add 25 centres across the globe this financial year.
Rahul Thapan, head-education services division, Tata Infotech, said that the company is considering South America, Middle East, south east Asia including China for setting up centres.
The expansion will be carried out through tie-ups with universities in these countries.

The division has 15 overseas centres spread across South Africa, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Philippines and Vietnam.
In India, the company will add another 100 centres to its existing 700. Thapan said, the new additions would be in the B-category cities or small towns.
The company, Tata Infotech posted a turnover of Rs 475 crore last year with the education division contributing 8-10 per cent towards the turnover.
The division recorded a growth of 33 per cent last year and is expecting to clock a similar growth rate this year.
Thapan said, the focus for the year would be on the corporate segment as 35 per cent of its revenues come from this segment.
This year the company hopes to increase it to 50 per cent. Thapan said, the company is bullish on e-learning system and call centre training.
Meanwhile, Tata Infotech conducted the MidSpan seminar in the city. The initiative which started last year will be taken to 20 cities across the country.
The seminar was organised with a view to educate and guide the youth on how to cope with the challenges and opportunities faced by the young students.
