Agro chemical firm United Phosphorus today clocked a 38% increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 278.4 crore for the quarter ended March 31, this year, on account of strong sales.
The company had achieved a net profit of Rs 201.87 crore in the same quarter in the last year.
Net revenue increased to Rs 2,820.74 crore during the fourth quarter of the 2012-13 fiscal from Rs 2,132.33 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to the BSE.

During the 2012-13 financial year, the company said its consolidated net profit rose by 39.42% to Rs 774.60 crore as against Rs 555.55 crore in the previous year.
Total income for the same period jumped to Rs 9,194.52 crore from Rs 7671.31 crore in 2011-12 fiscal.
United phosphorus is a global generic crop protection, chemicals and seeds company.
Shares of the company were trading 2.91% higher at Rs 132.80 on the BSE at 1420 hours.
