Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.

Helmet maker Steelbird Hi-Tech India has said the premium segment is expected to account for 20 per cent in the company's overall topline by 2032 as it sees demand growing for its niche brands.
In the last fiscal year, the company clocked a revenue of Rs 869 crore, with the premium segment contributing less than 5 per cent, said SteelBird Hi-Tech Managing Director Rajiv Kapoor.
He also said the company is aiming to double its helmet production capacity to 2.5 crore in the next five years, along with a topline of Rs 2,500 crore, besides plans to invest Rs 500 crore in the capacity expansion over this period.

Commercial vehicle major Tata Motors on Sunday said it has secured orders for over 3,400 electric commercial vehicles (eCV) across freight, logistics and passenger mobility segments.
The orders comprising around 2,000 small commercial vehicles and pick-ups, 900 trucks, and 500 buses, cut across a diverse range of applications from e-commerce, logistics, FMCG and FMCD distribution, and intra-city mobility to demanding sectors like cement, steel, mining, and tarmac operations, alongside inter- and intra-city passenger transport.
This wide-ranging deployment reflects growing customer confidence in electric mobility solutions in real-world conditions and signals a decisive shift from pilot programmes to scaled, operational integration of EVs across use cases, Tata Motors said.

Realty firm Prestige Estates Projects plans to launch two new housing projects in Delhi-NCR this fiscal with an estimated revenue of nearly Rs 7,000 crore as part of its expansion plan.

Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) should increasingly be seen as a "gas-and-oil" company rather than an oil-and-gas producer, its chairman Arun Kumar Singh said, underscoring a strategic shift as natural gas output outpaces crude oil.
"Gas is now slightly more than oil in our portfolio," Singh told analysts, adding that ONGC's future growth will be driven largely by gas production even as crude output remains broadly flat without major new discoveries.
"We should call ourselves a gas and oil company, not an oil and gas company."
