Vision Express to take outlet count to 500 in 5 yrs

Vision Express, the joint venture between Reliance Retail and Netherlands-ased Grand Vision, will increase the number of its outlets to 500 by 2016-2017 in order to increase their pan-India footprint.

Vision Express, which specialises in spectacles, sunglasses and contact lenses, will also expand its presence in tier-II cities.

“We will take our outlet number to 500 in the next five years from 103 now. Our target to open one store per week will be continued to realise the economies of scale,” Bijou Kurien, president and chief executive-Life Style of Reliance Retail Ltd, said.

He also said the company would provide its products at a competitive price to fuel its business growth. Vision Express, which launched its retail operations in December, 2008, has opened 103 stores across 25 cities in the country.

 

Vision Express is one of the several specialised format of Reliance Retail. The company has other formats like Reliance Super, Reliance Mart among others.
