Whistling Woods International (WWI), a subsidiary of Mukta Arts has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bradford College, UK to set up a film school in United Kingdom. In a statement to the stock exchanges, Mukta Arts said that that this co-branded institute, named Whistling Woods Bradford College Film School, would provide undergraduate courses in film-making and animation to students.

This film school would be set up inside the Bradford College campus and is expected to commence operations in April 2013, according to the release. The first batch of students would be taken in, during August to September 2013. The institute will offer three year Bachelor's Degree in Film and a three year Bachelor's Degree in Animation.

"This venture will include a twinning model where students studying in these courses may spend 1 or 2 semesters at the WWI Mumbai campus," said the company in a filing to the stock exchanges.

WWI has recently announced that it would also set up a campus in Nigeria to provide courses in film-making and animation. In 2009-10, Whistling Woods and Bradford College had jointly put in a bid to the UK-India Education Research Initiative for support in a proposed student film co-production. This bid was accepted and over the next year, students from both the institute came together for co-production of a stop-motion animation film.
