Press Trust Of India Mumbai/ Jamnagar

Fourteen Pakistani fishermen were apprehended on Monday for illegally entering Indian territory and two boats seized near Jakhau coast in Kutch district on Monday, Indian Coast Guard officials said.

According to the officials, there were seven fishermen each on board the Pakistani boats - 'Al-Usman' and 'Al-Razaq' - that were seized by the Coast Guard's Mirabai patrolling vessel.

The fishermen were later brought to Okha and handed over to marine police officials, where they would be jointly interrogated by the state and central intelligence agencies.

In the past five days, five Pakistani boats have been seized by Coast Guards and 33 fishermen apprehended, including those held on Monday, for trespassing into Indian waters off Gujarat coast.
