Bajaj Auto Bets On 3-Wheeler Carriers

The demand for three-wheeler goods carrier (600 kg to one tonne category) in the southern states is expected to go up to about 20,000 units in 2003-04. This would represent 50 per cent of the total demand of the entire country.
According to C K Rao, the GM (marketing) of Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL), commercial vehicles market in the three-wheeler segment in India is growing at 30-35 per cent per annum.
