BJP demands joint parliamentary probe into CWG mess

Even as the Union government has asked the Comptroller and Auditor General to complete a detailed report on the recently-held Commonwealth Games (CWG) in three months, the main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded a joint parliamentary committee be set up to look into the alleged corruption charges in organising the event.
Senior members of the party said they would take up the corruption charges and the role of the Delhi government, OC chairman Suresh Kalmadi and the Centre in the winter session of Parliament.
