BJP, Left condemn fuel price cut announcement

Both the BJP and the Left parties took exception to Centre's announcement of cut in prices of petroleum products after the Assembly elections, with the BJP threatening to go to the Election Commission for violation of model code of conduct. 

“The announcement will certainly benefit the ruling coalition at the Centre and we will file a complaint with the Election Commission,” said BJP leader V K Malhotra.
