| The Chhattisgarh government tabled an amendment bill to grant Chhattisgarhi - the local dialect of the state- the status of official language. The proceedings in the Chhattisgarh vidhan sabha started in the local dialect after the tabling of the amendment. State Minister for Culture Brijmohan Agrawal tabled the Chhattisgarhi Rajbhasa (amendment) Bill 2007 that would give the local dialect the status of the state |
