CII unveils Vision 2025 for TN

| The creation of Chennai-Trichy-Madurai industry corridor would accelerate the growth and development across Tamil Nadu, according to a report by the Confederation of Indian Industry, Trichy zone, Southern Region. |
| Prepared by Pricewaterhouse Coopers, the CII TN Vision 2025 has suggested doubling of railway tracks from Chennai to Kanyakumari, promotion of agricultural activities, special focus on the tourism sector, transfer of benefits from globalisation and ICT to rural parts to achieve enhanced growth rate across the state. |
| The CII has set goals related to balanced regional and social development, strengthening of infrastructure, inclusive urbanisation, revamp of agriculture and agri-business, enhancement in skills and employability as well as innovation through higher education among others. |
| The enablers to achieve the tasks would include education, health, e-governance, transaction cost, tourism and urbanisation. Other elements include agriculture, technology, culture, infrastructure, industries, and state finances. This apart, sports, media and entertainment have also been identified as enablers. |
| The implementation has been split into seven phases "" initiation, analytic synthesis, ideation, integration, formulation and syndication and the aim is to make the state first or second in the country. |
