Haryana gets its first LED village

BS Reporter New Delhi/ Chandigarh

Shimla Mulana village of district Panipat has become the first light-emitting diode (LED) village of Haryana which is illuminated with new technology of LED lamps.

According to the Renewable Energy Department, it has provided power and solar energy equipment worth Rs 13.27 lakh. Further, 430 LED bulbs, 466 tube lights and 10 solar street lights has been provided to this village. Also, 5,600-litre solar water heating system, 35 solar cooker dish and bath type, 358 solar home lights, 400 solar torches and 35 solar street lights have been provided to many villages of the district.
