IRMA to host Udaan-2011

IRMA (Institute of rural management, Anand) will be hosting its annual business fest on titled Udaan 2011 on the 27th of February, 2011. Students from top b-schools are expected to participate in various events like business plan, case study analysis, quiz competition and a footfall of around 2000 people is expected at the event. The college will also host a symposium at the fest on 'Innovations in Micro Finance Industry' that will see eminent panel of speakers discussing on the topic.

The discussion will centre on how the industry has innovated to provide financial services to the poor. Current innovations in the sector the hurdles of achieving financial inclusion will be discussed.The speakers include Jayshree Vyas Managing Director, SEWA Bank, Ahmedabad, S.L. Kumbharey, Chief General Manager of Micro Credit Innovation Department, NABARD, C.P. Mohan, Managing Director of NABFINS(NABARD FINANCIAL SERVICES), Utpal Isser, Deputy General Manager at ICICI Bank and Prof. H.S. Shylendra who is teaching at IRMA and is an expert in Micro Finance.
