K'taka cabinet expansion by June 16

The expansion of the state cabinet and the appointment of chairpersons and members to government-owned boards and corporations will take place before June 16, chief minister H D Kumaraswamy said here on Monday.

Speaking to reporters, the CM said that leaders of the coalition partners (JD-S and BJP) will meet on Tuesday to finalise the date of cabinet expansion.

"We intend to complete the exercise before the legislature session commences on June 16. All hurdles in the way of the expansion have been cleared," he added.
