Kerala Tourism Scheme

The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) is entering into new fields for the promotion of tourism by targeting the domestic sector. K Elangovan, managing director of KTDC, said: "KTDC has entered into an agreement with the Indian Railways to charter special coaches to Kerala. This has become a milestone in the tourism industry."

This is to overcome non-availability of tickets because tourists in the domestic sector mainly depend on the railways for commuting.

He said this year KTDC had spread its wings to Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
