Meet on value education in Bangalore

Top educationists, futurists, policy-makers and others in the field of education from across the world will gather in Bangalore to participate in a international conference on value education from June 26-29.

The conference on 'Integrated Value Education' is being organised by the Art of Living (AOL) in association with UNESCO, World Bank Institute and Indian National Commission for Co-operation, Union ministry of human resources and development.

Renowned spiritual leader and founder of AOL Ravi Shankar will inaugurate the conference.

The conference will bring together thinkers from all walks of life to find new ways of dealing with the challenges in learning environments, an AOL spokesperson told Business Standard.

The three-day gathering aims to create awareness of integrated value education "" a blend of ancient wisdom and modern knowledge. The conference will bring together people who have carried out path-breaking work in the field of education.

"The conference will highlight the need for integrated value education to ensure world-class holistic education which will facilitate cognitive, physical, emotional, social and spiritual growth of a child," said Haya Ramon, member of the organising committee.
